Flixton Conservative club is a club with something for everyone. Whether you’re just after a drink after a long day at work, looking for somewhere to go at the weekend, looking for live music, fancy taking part in a quiz, enjoy watching live sports or fancy a game of darts, bowls or snooker, we have something for you. Take a look at what’s on offer.
At the bar
The club has a wide selection of drinks on offer and is regularly awarded for its selection of real ales.
For the real ale drinkers, we have a number of popular beers from local breweries to help quench your thirst.
Pictish brewery is always popular amongst our members and we are always looking to try different breweries to find the best beers available.
For those of you with a different drink of choice, we have plenty on offer such as San Miguel, Coors, Carling, Fosters, Guinness and Strongbow.
We also have a range of bottled beers including non-alcoholic options, wines, spirits and soft drinks too.
Club facilities
Snooker
The club has four snooker tables that are regularly cleaned and maintained to keep them in top condition.
The tables are open to all members to use throughout the week.
The club has six snooker teams in total with four teams playing in the Urmston & District League on Tuesday nights and two teams playing in the Levenshulme Snooker League on Thursday Nights.
Tables are open to be used from 12pm before the bar opens at 4pm.
Snooker is as popular as ever at the club and this was shown by the incredible turnout for our evening with 1997 Snooker World Champion Ken Doherty in October 2024.
Bowling
The club has its own crown bowling green for members to use and is regularly maintained to keep it to the highest standard.
We currently have five teams at the club playing across five different leagues.

Darts
The club has a dedicated room available for those who wish to play darts.
The club is currently looking at accommodating a team to play during the week so if you’re looking to set up a new or relocate an existing team, pay us a visit and we will be happy to discuss this with you!
Live sport
If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy watching live sport, this is the place for you. We have our large screen in the snooker room as well as a television in our main member’s lounge. We have Sky Sports and TNT Sports so you won’t miss a game!
Live music and entertainment
The club has regular entertainment on offer, whether that be a band, a singer, our weekly quizzes or summer charity events, there is something for you to enjoy. Take a look at what’s on offer.
Off The Record - Saturday 23rd November
If you’re a fan of music from the 60s, 70s and 80s then this is the one for you. Off The Record will return to the club in November to provide a great night of live music. Make sure you come along so you don’t miss out!
Christmas Pensioners Afternoon - Thursday 12th December
Join us on Thursday 12th December for the Christmas Pensioners Afternoon.
We have live music from Leggo, a buffet and much more!
Tickets are £7 and will be available behind the bar.
Christmas Draw Night - Saturday 21st December
Our Christmas Draw Night takes place on Saturday 21st December. Members have the chance to win a fantastic range of prizes on the night by contributing to the draw throughout the year.
We will also be provided entertainment as always by The Vincents.
New Year's Eve - Dave Pye
Bring in the New Year at the club with the fantastic Dave Pye.
This is a ticketed event and is £5 per member and £10 per non-member.
Tickets are now available to buy behind the bar so make sure you get hold of yours!
Quiz Nights
If you enjoy a quiz then this is the place for you. We host a weekly quiz every Friday night (9:30pm start) as well as a month end quiz on the final Sunday of every month (8pm start).
Come along and test your knowledge against some of the finest minds in Urmston.
Jam Night
The club has started a new Jam Night on Monday nights. Whether you want to sing, play or just watch and listen, come along on a Monday evening!
The Jam starts at 8pm.
Function Room
The club has an excellent function room that holds up to 90 people. We offer the function room for (and not limited to) birthdays, christenings and many other occasions. The prices for hiring the room are as follows:
- £50 deposit
- Free to hire for members
- £45 to hire for non-members

The club has on site parking and also provides baby changing facilities in the function room toilets.
Memberships
Interested in joining the club? Then why not enquire about becoming a member. New memberships are a one off fee of £37 and then annual full memberships are £26 from then on.

How to find us
The club is located on the corner of Chassen Road and Flixton Road in Urmston. It is a ten minute walk from Urmston town centre with Chassen Road and Urmston train station providing close transport links as well regular 255 bus services that stop close by.
